“In the End” is a nu metal song written by Linkin Park from their debut album Hybrid Theory (2001). Its lyrics to the song is mainly based on one person’s failure. It is considered symbolic of an ending relationship. However it can also be symbolic of a long-lasting friendship’s trust between one another that has gone away.
The song was released as the album’s fourth and last single in late-2001(see 2001 in music) and entered the top ten on the majority of the charts it appeared on.
